General Automotive Company Staff Celebrate 45th National Day
General Automotive Company (GAC), the official distributors of Mitsubishi vehicles in Oman, organised special gatherings at the Mitsubishi Showroom in Azaiba on the occasion of the Sultanate’s 45th National Day.
The event was organised on November 18 in order for the management and staff to join in the celebrations of this joyous occasion and to honour and thank His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said for wisdom, leadership and vision for the development and prosperity of Oman. It was attended by senior management and staff of GAC and The Zubair Automotive Group (ZAG) together with branch managers from Mitsubishi and Fuso showrooms across Oman.
The event began with a welcome address by Jamal Al Balushi, the senior HR Manager at GA, he said, “We are celebrating an occasion which is very important to the citizens of Oman. Over the past four and a half decades Oman has witnessed immense progress and numerous achievements. Furthermore, the country has earned itself a prestigious position internationally, whilst still maintaining a harmonious balance between modern development and cultural heritage.”
Following Hamal’s address was a speech by Manoj Ranade, the GM at GAC. In his speech Manoj reflected on the transformation the nation has undergone in just the past 45 years; he said, “It was only the wise guidance and benevolent rule of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said that the Sultanate was transformed into the modern progressive nation we live in today. It is truly awe-inspiring to witnessed such a drastic change occur within such a short span of time.”
“GAC, as one of the oldest companies operating under The Zubair Automotive Group, has for over four decades, played an integral part in the development of the country, introducing the internationally renowned Mitsubishi and FUSO brands into the country,” he added.
GAC as a whole, together with the vehicles it sells, have over the past 43 years attracted a strong fan following and amongst the largest customer loyalty bases in the Sultanate. in the country. This is clearly evident from the success it enjoys both on the road and online, in its social media endeavours over the past two years. The celebrations concluded with a commemorative cake-cutting ceremony followed by a group photograph and snacks being served.
