GAC felicitates Mitsubishi L200 customer who clocked 1,000,000kms
General Automotive Company, the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Oman, recently felicitated a customer who clocked one million kilometers on the odometer of his Mitsubishi L200.
Mr. Elayaraja R Ramasamy, Sr. Plant Manager at Larsen & Toubro (Oman) LLC, who completed the exciting feat, was honored at the Mitsubishi showroom for his long association with the sturdy vehicle and his reliance on it for all his company’s commercial requirements.
Described as the work-horse pick-up truck, the L200 is equipped with the power and reliability of a traditional pickup and fun and comfort of a luxury sedan. It is this combination that wowed Mr. Ramasamy, who has been relying on his L200 for the past 11 years. With its robust exterior and sporty interior with spacious cabin, L200 has proven to be a hard taskmaster, suitable for every terrain.
It is a delight to be behind the wheels of a L200, observed Ramasamy, pointing out its roomy cabin and the comfortable ride it promises, every time. Having come to rely on it for all the day-to-day activities of the company, the vehicle has been used all over the country, finding it suitable for black top roads as well as off roads in the interiors. “Performance of this pickup is excellent, particularly along the off-roads,” he added.
Speaking on the sidelines of the felicitation ceremony, Manoj Ranade, General Manager of GAC, said, “L200 has been one of our most promising commercial vehicles. It is an honor for us to recognize our customers’ reliance on its impeccable performance over such a long period. Its muscular structure and dynamic style have made it a popular model in the pickup segment. It has found ready market among local companies that require long-haul vehicles for their everyday needs. We are confident that there are many like Ramasamy in the country, who have, time and again, relied on their L200 to conduct their heavy commercial work.”
Listing out the benefits of owning an L200 in Oman, Ramasamy said its high powered and less maintenance engine was what set it apart from others. “It makes driving under loadeasy and convenient, adding to the overall driving comfort. Besides, there is more space inside the cabin, making long drives less taxing. And with safety features like ABS (Anti-lock braking System) and airbag, I know I am secure on the road. I would like to make particular reference to the rigid chassis and the addition of ROPS (Rollover Protection Structure), which have saved many lives during accidents,” explained Ramasamy.
Further, pointing out his Company’s trust in L200, he added, “Over the last decade or so, we have used more than 100 L200 pickups to transport heavy goods safely, and without a single issue. That is the trust we have in this vehicle. In comparison to other reputed Japanese brands, the L200 comes with reasonable pricing on parts and service, particularly when the focus is on major repairs and service.”
According to Mr. Ramasamy, it is indeed a commercially feasible vehicle.
