Mitsubishi sponsors Ramadan Pinz Bowling Tournament

Continuing its support to sports, and in order to promote a healthy and social lifestyle during the holy month, General Automotive Company (GAC), the official distributors of Mitsubishi Vehicles in Oman, recently sponsored the Ramadan Pinz Bowling Tournament. The tournament took place over the course of the holy month at the new bowling hall located in Avenues Mall. Attending the finals event on behalf of GAC was Yahya Ahmed Al-Harthy, Key account Manager at GAC.

The finals was a tough fight between the top four players of the tournament. However, in the end it was Hassan Al-Kharoosi who won the first place, Abid Al-Belushi placed second, Rashid Al-Samti third and Ghalib Al-Busaidi fourth. The first three places were handed trophies and each of the four players received cash prizes. The tournament saw the participation of Omani and expatriate players, which contributed towards an intense tournament with each player showcasing great enthusiasm and excitement to win the title.

Commenting on the importance of sponsoring sports events, Yahya Ahmed Al-Harthy said, “At GAC we have always focused our efforts towards promoting sports in the country. We also place great emphasis on youth development, having sponsored several sport events and youth teams across the country in the past.”

The tournament was held in one of the newest and best bowling halls in Oman, a 12-lane bowling hall equipped with state of art technology. The hall is also equipped to play billiards and console games. The Pinz Centre is also planning to open another 18-lane bowling hall in line with global standards, and aimed at being the largest in Oman, in Al-Hail.

Husam Al-Wahebi, Marketing Manager at Abab Trading, the owner company of Pinz bowling, said, “I would like to congratulate each of the four winners of the tournament, and best of luck for all who participated in any of their future tournaments.
